Great video series! I've got a '24 5mt Versa myself. Could you do the 5mt community a huge favor and post a video of the sound from the transmission in idle after a drive? I've noticed that, on some Versas, the throwout bearing tends to emit a rattling noise in idle when warm.

I currently drive a 2019 Prius which I love but I’m starting my college program this fall (a little late in life) and need to reduce my car payment by a lot. I’ve been only searching for very old Corollas or Yaris’ and it’s almost impossible but I just realized I could get one of these for a super good price plus warranty.

Can you peek under the hood and confirm that it is actually a single turbo? I heard the many diff sources saying that even though the code matches up to the single turbo b57, its actually the detuned b57 twin turbo.

Check the wastegate actuator bushings for play. That sounds like my 535i that didn't make any boost, the wastegates were not sealing to the turbine housing, because those bushings were failing

You hit the nail on the head when you said you cannot get an S-class diesel these days. I'll look into the AEM settlement, but for now, since you are in the unique position of owning a gasoline and diesel W221, could you please comment on the differences between the two? Is the gasoline really easier to maintain because of the absence of the diesel particulate system? Perhaps these can be addressed in a video? You sure gained a subscriber today 🙂

Very annoying. I went through multiple sets of brakes and rotors in several months. If it’s improperly bedded you’re going to need new brakes and rotors. Slamming on your brakes won’t fix it. They’re already baked in.

One quick question, on your 2013 S350 Bluetec, is the AdBlue fill port next to the diesel fill port? Or is it under the spare tire? Thanks in advance for your help with this.

WOW, 80 mph and barely over 2000 rpm. I have seen them on FB with the CVT and plenty have hit the 100,000-mile mark with original transmission.

I’d get the manual over the CVT. Their CVT don’t have a good track record.

Is there a workaround for the stall to limp mode? I'm considering this car but this is quiet basic to get it right. while I don't stall but you never know about some weird situation. You try to restart the car back in neutral or whatever the gear it was in previously?

For anyone wondering, rpms at highway speeds are: 2481rpm - 55mph 2704rpm - 60mph 2927rpm - 65mph 3122rpm - 70mph 3373rpm - 75mph 3596rpm - 80mph 3819rpm - 85mph mathematically calculated based on gear ratio, diff ratio and wheel size.

Im glad youre still making videos on the Versa S. While im not a fan of the S trim because of the lack of certain key features(a remote key is one of them) , despite that as the cheapest car in America it offers alot. On that UA-camr who took this car as a easy mark,guys an idiot or just a self promoting shill looking for the next viral video. Anyone looking at this car sees it as a economical family car,not a plush Merc or Maserati which they often beleive all cars should be.

I’m having the exact same trouble on a brand new Nissan Versa that I purchased approximately a week and a half ago. It drove home fine. The next day this occurred and I have had zero satisfaction from any of the dealerships, including the one who kept the car for approximately five days, supposedly trying to get it to reenact. Because they have not yet been able to reenact it at a Nissan dealership, they are stalling. Would you mind, please giving me the info as to where you were asking us to report? I paid cash for this vehicle only to have all of this going on. This is not OK. Thank you so much for all of your helpful information.

3500 rpm at over 70 mph isnt too bad for highway driving, speed limit is 65-70 anyway.

I wouldn't be waiting so long for an oil change especially if you're looking for 150K++ use and rev it a lot, lots of the manufactures overextend themselves on intervals. If you change it yourself its probably 20-25 bucks for the oil and filter so i would say 4500-5000.
